Role Description

Seventh-day Adventist Schools (Victoria) Ltd is seeking an enthusiastic Chaplaincy Pastoral Worker to join the team at Gilson College, Mernda campus for an immediate start. This is a part-time position for 10 hours a week. However, there is a strong possibility that additional hours could be offered to a suitable candidate through a combined role.

The Chaplaincy Pastoral Worker’s focus is on supporting the school chaplains in their pastoral and welfare roles at the College. The Chaplaincy Pastoral Worker assists the Senior Chaplain in developing the school’s chaplaincy program, including assisting with events and programs such as weekly chapel services. The Chaplaincy Pastoral Worker supports the spiritual growth of the entire school community which includes students, staff, administration, parents of the school and the school council.

The ideal applicant will have a proven commitment to the mission of the SDA church, particularly within a Chaplaincy or Children’s Ministry context (e.g., helping at Summer Camp, Storm Co. and local church ministries).

Salary Range
